P.R.P. (Platelet Rich Plasma)
P.R.P procedure is a method used for the treatment of non-healing wounds and orthopaedic treatments. This method is also used for the purpose of hair transplant and against hair loss because of its healing and nutritive effects.
Platelets gather in the damaged site of our body. They initiate the repair and tissue recovery process. P.R.P procedure is based on this mechanism.
A rapid and strong repair process is initiated and it is completed in a shorter time upon introduction of increased quantity of P.R.P compared to the quantity carried in blood vessels. The thrombocyte count obtained with P.R.P method is 2 to 4 times higher than the count in blood.
P.R.P procedure is applied by separating the constituents of the blood taken from the individual using a special device called centrifuge. Then, platelet rich plasma of the blood is applied to the site requiring P.R.P treatment. This procedure takes very little time. P.R.P procedure is applied in 3-6 sessions within 4-6 week intervals.
